As soon as I discovered Maree Turner I knew I had found our wedding photographer. Craig & I got married on the 17th of April 2010 on Whangamata beach. Lots of couples when planning their wedding do not consider their photographer as important as their wedding dress, their venue, their catering, the list goes on. The photographer is the most important of all. You want a photographer who you feel comfortable with, who is professional, and you know is going to deliver only the best, If you want your day to be a creative piece of art other than just a distant memory, then Maree Turner is exactly that. Craig and I booked Maree's second photographer package (Starter Package 2) for our wedding on 31 January 2009. Maree and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with and really added to the fun of the day. But the best bit came when we it was time to view our photos. We are absolutely blown away by the results! Maree met our brief exactly by capturing and recording our day with fantastic, professional photos. However she went on to far exceed our expectations with the beautiful, artistic and spontaneous shots she was able to capture while our day was being 'documented' by her second photographer. We highly recommend purchasing the second photographer package as those spontaneous, unposed shots that captured the emotion of our day are the ones we will treasure.

Simon and I got married on March 15th 2008, and decided to have Maree as our photographer. We looked at her website and saw that she was an amazing photographer so we couldn't go any further, and booked her in! Maree was so friendly and helpful all the way up to and on our wedding day! When we were planning our wedding, we agreed that getting a great photographer was the most important thing. We spent hours looking through websites and talking to photographers. When we came across Maree's website we were blown away. It was so professional and the examples of her work were amazing, and after meeting with her we knew we'd found our photographer. Her advice and tips for the wedding day were invaluable. When we got the photos back we were so happy with how they turned out. Maree is an incredible photographer, and has an eye for very creative, beautiful shots. We didn't even notice her on the day, which is exactly what a photographer should be like. The decision to choose Maree as our Photographer started in a toilet, well before any decisions about getting married had been put on the table.
While sitting on said toilet, in a bar in Ponsonby, I was drawn to the dramatic colouring on her (then) business card. I took the card off the wall and kept it in my purse for 'one day'... A year passed, and it was Civil Union planning time. I went straight to the card, to the website, and that's all it took to convince my partner that having Maree on our team was non-negotiable!
Maree is non-judgmental, and just goes with the flow. Nothing is too much trouble. She has a flair for the dramatic, while keeping her process low key. She blends into the background, and when you see the AMAZING pictures, you think back and wonder how she got where she got to get the shot! She has managed to make two camera shy ladies on the older side of 40 look and feel like a million dollars, and that, people, is PRICELESS!
We have had 2 other couples get married a month either side of us, and without a word of a beat-up, their photos just do not compare. Maree and her 'creative' packages smooth, sculpt, colour, highlight and thoroughly 'pimp' up the photos so you can't help but look amazing.
Lee and I would absolutely recommend Maree Turner for Civil Union photography - we've certainly told all our friends, and will continue to shout her accolades to anyone that will listen.
